Current Classes
Move, Breathe, Laugh
New Dates TBA Soon!
In this Zoom class, we will use techniques used by actors to stay calm, focused and present. The only goals of this class are to have fun and feel good.
The class is divided into three parts.
Move: We will use simple, guided movement techniques to get in touch with our bodies, and move in ways that feel good to each individual.
Breathe: We add breath awareness and sound release. Breath-work releases held emotions and tensions that we may be unaware of. Students have found these exercises particularly liberating during this period of quarantine.
Laugh: The class will end with some classic, hilarious improv exercises adapted for remote learning on Zoom, designed to foster fun and connection.
Move, Breathe, Laugh requires no previous acting experience. All that is required is a desire and willingness to explore and an agreement to be kind and non judgmental of your classmates and yourself. All levels of movement and ability are welcome.
Liz has a deep belief that one of the greatest tools for acting as well as life is being present. She has spent years learning, developing and practicing techniques to help her cast members achieve presence in their bodies and environments. She believes the same practices can be helpful and grounding for all people during this challenging time.
