Liz Haag is a Writer, Director, Producer and lifelong Brooklynite. Her first site specific, immersive production The House, which debuted in 2018, is a frightening romp through the world of famed Spanish playwright, Federico Garcia Lorca. Her most recent theatrical endeavor is The Motherless, based on the original stories of Peter Pan by J.M Barrie, that premiered last Fall on NYC's Governor's Island.
Other directing credits include "Moxie" at The Magnet Theater. “Boy Gets Girl” at Stella Adler, “Our Little Secret” and “A Great Infidelity” at Emerging Artists Theatre. As an actress and improviser Liz has performed at The Magnet, ARS NOVA, The Pit, UCB, Del Close Marathon, and toured with the play “In The Voice of Our Mothers.”
Having gotten her start as a set designer, creating props and scenery at New York’s Shakespeare in the Park, she went on to pick up credits with Disney Theatrical, The Roundabout Theatre as well as many other NYC venues.
Liz has written for Jezebel, Trojan, and SXSW. Her work with comedy show, The Executives, has been performed at ATX Sketchfest, Montreal Sketchfest and San Fran Sketchfest. Liz also owns and operates BASH, a boutique entertainment company that creates highly unique, interactive theatrics for private and corporate events.
She has created and taught acting and improv classes for students of all ages and experience levels over the past 12 years. Liz has a deep belief that one of the greatest tools for acting as well as life is being present to ourselves and our surroundings.
